Yes, the interface does feel clunky and antiquated, and it can chug along unless you have a truly powerful computer, but what it offers in terms of. Thank you!ĮDIT: Realized there was no actual question in my original post, so added the question. HitFilm Pro is a remarkable piece of software. So I guess you could say our budget is enough to buy HitFilm 4 Pro or pay for Premiere for about a year and a half.Īny opinion will help! Also, please comment how user friendly each program is and how steep their learning curves are. HitFilm 4 Pro is a mix of video editing for filmmakers and other professionals. The money we're using to buy either program is mostly from YouTube (we're a small channel, so it's not like we're making $300/month or whatever). Probably up to 4-5 videos per month (if we're available to do so). I’ve previously mentioned HitFilm on the blog in my post on 5 Free Compositing Apps for Film Editors. My friends and I make videos for mostly YouTube, but we're not spitting out videos left and right. HitFilm 4 Pro is the latest release of the compositing/editing software from the UK based software company, HitFilm, and I point that out because it’s always nice to get to write about home grown talent. I'm aware Premiere is subscription-based and HitFilm is a one time payment.

The most obvious incompatibility is with BCC+ VFX in BCC 21 which inroduces an orange haze. Although BorisFX dont list HitFilm Pro as being compatible with BCC, BCC does load into HitFilm Pro and appears under HFPs Video FX menu. So I'm stuck between purchasing either Adobe Premiere Pro and HitFilm 4 Pro and wanted some opinions to ultimately help me sway one way over the other (although, right now I'm thinking HitFilm).
